Speaker's Bio

Brigette VanHuisstede tries to live each day fully and abundantly.  She hails from Hamilton, Ontario and lives in a home of beautiful chaos with her family and pets.  She is married to the most encouraging man she knows and the mother of four rapidly growing and energetic kids.  One dog, two cats and a guinea pig add to the fun mix in her household.  Brigette has her honours degree in English Literature and taught for several years in a local Christian school.  She currently homeschools her children and is often found explaining new concepts using hockey imagery or weeping over the ending of "Charlotte's Web".  She is a cancer survivor who is gets excited about hiking, reading, writing, and speaking.  It's her passion to use her stories to point people to Jesus.
